Flute
Beth Thompson Beth Thompson, flutist, currently freelances around the Akron and Cleveland areas and teaches private lessons. She recently completed her MM in flute performance at Kent State. Beth performs with Suite Elegance and the Stow Symphony Orchestra. She recently performed with the Rome Festival Orchestra in Rome, Italy. Beth was the 1991 winner of the Concord Chamber Orchestra Concerto Competition in Wisconsin, and runner-up of the 2007 Kent State Graduate Student Soloist Competition. She earned a BA in music education and flute performance from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay and has performed in masterclasses for Julia Bogorand and Tadeu Coelho.
